I'm sure you all know by now how much I love taking photos. In fact, on any given day, I can probably take hundreds of shots of anything and everything. I figure with digital cameras, the sky's the limit so I just love clicking away. Unfortunately, I did the unthinkable and accidentally thought I had saved all my photos on the computer and deleted, yes, DELETED, a whole gig of photos from my camera!!!!!! What was I thinking??????? A momentary lapse of judgement, that's for sure... man, do I ever feel the pain.... needless to say, the blog can't be updated for the past two weeks because there are no longer any photos to post... I'm crushed... at a loss of words... beyond consoling... waaaaaahhhhh... :(
What was lost? About two week's worth of photos... the tail end of our trip to Michigan, Philip getting his hair cut (yes, the curls are gone!), Auntie Joanna's birthday party & Auntie Ami's condo-warming, random shots of my little guy and I don't know what else... too painful to mention... boohoo!!! :(
It has been a very busy and hectic summer and this is just another reminder that I'm seriously losing my memory... I don't know what happened... I used to have a great memory and now I can't even remember what I did two minutes ago. Losing these photos hurts, but what can you do, I guess. Alas, I did manage to save the photos from this past weekend at Wonderland and the Ex, the last and most recent set of pics I fortunately didn't delete.
Thanks for hearing me vent on my little guy's blog. On the bright side, I think I need to update the blog more often so this doesn't happen again... haha.
P.S. SAVE SAVE SAVE and BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP all your files!! :)

Aw, I feel your pain, Phan! I know how devastating it must be. Don't worry though - just take lots and lots of new photos (which I'm sure you're doing as we speak) and you'll start to feel better. I somehow ruined an SD card just by popping it into the SD drive on the computer. So now I ONLY upload my photos using a USB adapter cord. Everyone thinks I'm super uptight but I would never risk losing my precious photos ever again!

There is a way to undelete but only if you haven't written over your 'disk'. sounds like you did though.... This posting reminded me of time when my HD crashed. Almost had a heart attack thinking I lost all the photos but luckily I was able to save them.
Thanks guys... ya, luckily it was only two weeks worth of photos as opposed to two months or worse. I'm definitely going to be a lot more careful from now on though because I'm crazy about my photos! hehe.
