A Bari BBQ

Eban and Biba decided to have a bbq at their place on Wednesday since the weather was nice (it rained on Arya's birthday unfortunately) and we all had the day off for Canada Day the next day. It was also the official kickoff to the summer holiday for teachers! Woohoo! We brought over our bouncy tent so the kids could play outside while the adults chatted away. It was great to see that Arya loved the dollhouse too and all the kids, including Philip, loved playing with it when we went inside. Thanks for the invite, guys, and have a great trip to Niagara Falls for the long weekend!

Analia's Babies Shower

Analia is expecting twin girls next month so her sister-in-law, Lorena, hosted a babies shower at her house in Caledon on Sunday. It was a great outdoor event filled with excellent food, desserts, and more than enough things for the kids to do like the waterslide, treehouse, trampoline and bouncy tent just to name a few! The shower games were fun for the adults and the kids too and a thunderstorm topped it all off to truly make it a babies "shower"! Thanks for being an amazing hostess, Lorena, thanks for the invite, Analia, and now we all anxiously await the arrival of Sydney and Stella in a few weeks!

The Slawinski Summit

Believe it or not, we left Arya's birthday party early because we had another event to go to in the evening! Paul's relatives were in town from California and Connecticut so we all got together at the Basso house for dinner and what they affectionately called "The Slawinski Summit" or the "C-6 Summit". It was great catching up with Bob and Carol, Rob, and Rosie and her two kids, Zoe and Jay. To top it all off, it was Zoe's graduation and Chris' 30th birthday too! Forget the G-20 Summit, I think Philip and I won for the most eventful day in Toronto and we were absolutely pooped by the end of the night!!!
