Spring is in the Air!

With the gorgeous weather we've been having, it was time to whip out the outdoor toys for our little guy. Philip loves playing outside, especially when the other neighbours are riding with him. I'm impressed at how fast he can pedal now and he can even keep up with the older kids. It'll be tough to get him back inside when the really nice weather hits!

Reptilia Again!

We went back to our beloved Reptilia to see the crocodile feeding this time! Unfortunately, due to our last-minute decision to go, we missed most of the excitement but the other lizards more than made up for it. Another fun trip with active reptiles... what more could Philip and Paul ask for? :)

King Tut at the AGO

We decided to check out the King Tut exhibit at the AGO. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed and Philip was so bored he fell asleep through it all. Paul, being the history buff, thought it was a good experience, but expected more too. Even the gallery itself was kind of lacking. The renovations were nice though and I was pleasantly surprised that the special exhibit attracted so many people, including us, to the gallery. The food in Chinatown was great too and we can now cross off the AGO from our places to visit in Toronto.

Shopping, Shopping and More Shopping

With all this time on our hands, Ami and I like to go shopping a lot. We don't really buy much, but every now and then I can't help but check out the sales racks. Philip and Ellen usually join us so here are some pics of the cousins during one of our shopping adventures. I really gotta stop shopping before I go broke!! :)

The Blogging Continues

It has been almost three months since I last blogged so I thought it was about time I caught up. A lot has happened to our family since the New Year so I wasn't in any kind of mood to do anything for awhile (click here if you need a refresher as to why). Slowly but surely, however, I'm trying to get back into the groove of things, or what others would call "normal" life. I'm off work until September so I'm trying to spend as much time as I can with my family and really appreciate the positive things in life. I'm volunteering for the Heart and Stroke Foundation for the next few months and we're planning a couple of trips (Easter in Novi again and Disney World in July) which is cool. Our family and friends have been instrumental in the healing process and I can never thank them enough for everything they have done for my family, and for me in particular. Philip and Paul, well, words are not enough to describe what they mean to me. So, as a start to getting back to doing things I love to do (blogging being one of them), we have been quite busy the past three months and here is the updated blog to prove it. You may need to click "older posts" at the bottom of the page each time or use the side bar "blog archive" for 2010 to get all caught up. Yes, there are a lot of posts and pics, so you'll have to scroll a lot to see them all... hehe. Please enjoy the updates as much as I enjoyed posting them and thank you all again for your warm thoughts, kind words, and genuine compassion throughout this difficult time. Paul, Philip and I are truly blessed to be surrounded by such loving people. :)

A photo of my incredible family (from last year)...
thank you, thank you, thank you.

My family... I love you.

Naia's 4th Birthday

Gissel and Robin invited us to Naia's 4th birthday party on Sunday. It's been awhile since we last saw them so it was really nice to catch up. They had a great assortment of appetizers that Philip enjoyed munching on and another pinata for the kids to attack. It was so funny how Philip didn't want to hit it even though it's the third one he's seen. I guess he's just too gentle and didn't want to hurt the "animal". Oh well... hehe. Happy 4th birthday Naia, thanks Gissel and Robin for the fun party, and we'll see you all again for Philip's birthday in under a month! :)
