Happy Canada Day!

We started off Canada Day by doing yard work... yes, yard work. Some weeds were growing out of control and the grass was in dire need of cutting so Paul and his little helper went outside to get the job done while Patch and I took care of things inside. It's funny watching Philip mow the lawn with his pretend lawnmower, because he really thinks he's actually cutting it! Nothing beats a child's imagination, I tell ya... hehe. :)

Afternoon hit and we headed over to Karen & Kevin's new house for a barbeque. It had been awhile since they had seen Philip, and it was the first time they had met Natalie so it was nice catching up! It was hilarious watching Philip imitate the adults' actions too, both good and bad! Boy do kids ever pick up things fast! Thanks for the invite to your lovely (and huge!) place, K^2! :)

Following the bbq, we headed to Centennial Park so Philip could watch the fireworks. He loved looking up and saying "Boom!" each time they went off. It turned out be yet another fun and jam-packed day for the O'Leary clan. Happy Canada Day everyone! :)

Is that my innocent little Natalie gearing up for a smooch from Philip? Geez, they start so young these days :-)

Keep encouraging Philip to do yard work (albeit pretend yard work for now)...when he's old enough, send him over to my place to pick weeds :-)

Yard work, bbq, and fireworks all in one day? Dunno how you do it!

Don't worry, once Natalie is a little bit older, you'll be taking her everywhere too! It's fun trekking a toddler around! Oh, and it just wasn't one smooch, but MANY... haha. :)
