Happy New Year, Chinese Style!

It was my brother's birthday on Saturday and Chinese New Year on Sunday so my family got together on Saturday to celebrate both occasions! All four boys got decked out in their adorable little Chinese outfits and were given lots of red envelopes, or "li see" in Cantonese, with lots of money inside. Philip seemed to really like the red envelopes (they learn so fast, don't they?) so he kept trying to take his cousins' envelopes as well, but luckily he got more than his fair share to contribute to his RESP fund! Thanks everyone for all the generous monetary gifts, and thanks Eileen for giving Philip such a cute outfit! That hat with the long braided hair is just too funny!

Of course we couldn't forget my favourite (and only) brother Foon's birthday as well so we got him not one, but two of his favourite cakes to celebrate the big 3-8! The lemon mousse cake was awesome, but nothing beats an amazing strawberry cheesecake in my opinion... yummy! All in all, it was yet another fun get-together with the entire family and I look forward to doing it all again soon on the sands of Hawaii! Happy birthday, big bro, and Gung Hay Fat Choy everyone! :)
