From time to time (read: when Ami isn't available), Joanna asks us to dog-sit her baby, Hero. We always oblige, but unfortunately old doggies don't like puppies so Patch hates it when Hero's around. Compounded with the fact that Hero's still not completely house-trained yet, and Philip can easily pick him up and throw him, it's always tricky keeping them all apart. It's like having three kids in the house, all under the age of two! It's extremely hectic, and is a good reminder to wait a bit longer before having a second child... hehe. Luckily Hero's pretty cute so it makes up for all the mischief he gets himself into! :)
I've wanted to get Philip a drawing or art table for some time now since he really loves to draw (or scribble is more like it). I've been on the lookout for a kid's table and chairs set but was always surprised at the cost, with some even going as high as $200! I finally decided that a used one would do since I know all kids end up drawing on it and ruining it anyway. After some surfing on the internet, I came across this great Spongebob table and two chairs for only $10 on ebay! Not the ideal character for my little guy (although I must admit I'm a fan), but hey, for that price I can't complain. Here is our budding artist sitting at his new table with his new Doodlepro as well. He loves it already! :)
We headed over the the Ramlogans' yesterday to visit Natalie at home! Yen Vi and Wendell looked well rested so it seems that Natalie's been really good to her parents so far! She spent most of the time eating and sleeping (what else do newborns do?) so Philip spent most of his time playing with Uncle Wendell. They brought out Natalie's playmat and just had a barrel of laughs sliding Philip back and forth like it was a crazy carpet. Thanks for entertaining our little guy and may you continue to get lots of sleep whenever you can! :)
We celebrated Chinese New Year with the entire Duong family on Saturday! The boys dressed up in their cute Chinese outfits and we exchanged red envelopes like crazy. As a bonus, we celebrated Uncle Foon's 39th birthday a week early since everyone was here already. Happy Birthday, big bro, and Gong Hey Fat Choy everyone! :) For more photos of the festivities, please click here! :)
Morgan, Casey and Sam came to visit us from London, England on Monday. Philip and Morgan always play well together and Morgan even got a belated ice cream cake to celebrate her second birthday! It was great to see the Hayter family again and we wish you a huge CONGRATULATIONS on Morgan becoming a big sister this fall! Thanks for the really fun visit and we look forward to seeing you all again in May! :)
It seems that Little Miss Ramlogan was very eager to enter the world as she made her arrival five weeks early on February 1! The very next day after her mommy wrapped things up at school, Natalie decided it was time to show off her adorable little face and make Yen Vi and Wendell proud new parents! We think it was also because we set up the crib last week, or that she wanted to join in on the Chinese New Year celebrations this coming week, or, better yet, she just didn't want to be a rat! hehe. Congrats on your really cute and healthy baby girl and welcome to the exciting new world of parenthood! Philip will love playing with his new little friend! :)
