The Crib is Up!

After Scarlett's birthday party, we headed over to the Ramlogans' place for a fantastic chili dinner. It also gave the boys an opportunity to set up the crib in the nursery. In less than half an hour, it was up and ready to go so Philip was the first to test it out... hehe. We hope you like your new crib, guys, and we look forward to seeing your little one sleeping in it really soon... just a little over a month to go! :)

Scarlett's First Birthday

We went to Scarlett's first birthday party on Saturday. Philip really enjoyed making new friends and playing with all the cool toys! He even got to meet Barney for the first time and we were surprised that he wasn't scared at all. Thanks for inviting us to your fun party, Jose and Analia, and we wish Scarlett a very happy first birthday! :)

Meet Hero!

Auntie Joanna got a new dog and she named him Hero. Hero is a shih-poo - half shihtzu, half poodle. He met Patch and Philip for the first time the weekend that she got him. Of course, I had to use him as a model on some of Philip's toys since he was so small... haha. Welcome to the crazy Duong family, Hero!

New Year's Dinner with the Duguays

Rosemarie and Paul invited us over for a belated New Year's dinner tonight. It felt like Christmas all over again, as Rosemarie made a huge turkey complete with stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies and even sweet potatoes (Philip's favourite) too! Thanks for the great dinner and we hope you have a very happy, healthy and travel-filled New Year! :)

Happy New Year!

The Ramlogans invited us over for a lovely steak dinner to ring in the New Year! The boys fired up the bbq and Yen Vi made some lovely appetizers, sides and desserts to top off our meal. Thanks for having us over and have a happy and healthy 2008 everyone! :)

The O'Leary Holiday Potluck

It had been ages since we got our friends and the old CWJ crew together so we thought the holidays would be the perfect time, and indeed it was. After rescheduling the get-together (think winter storm) we finally were able to hold to O'Leary Holiday Potluck last night. The turnout was fantastic and it was so much fun watching all the babies play with one another! Thanks to everyone for the great food, great company and great fun and we wish you all a happy and healthy 2008! Merry Christmas!

Philip had a blast on his 2nd Christmas! He loved spending time with family and friends and especially loved all the attention he got, but his favourite part by far was opening all of his presents! Leap Frog learning toys were definitely very popular as he got two duplicate gifts! I guess everyone knows his mommy's a teacher and we love getting educational gifts!
