We couldn't possibly go through the summer without having a bbq at Yen Vi & Wendell's place! We enjoyed the gorgeous weather in their backyard, fully equipped with a playset and sprinkler for Philip and Natalie to thoroughly enjoy. To top it off, the kids played with some sparklers to end the night. A fun bbq filled with great friends and great food was definitely had by all! :)

Dim Sum with Jeff & Connie
It had been awhile since we saw Jeff and Connie so we had dim sum to catch up. They are definitely quite the travellers so we were lucky to find some time with them while they were actually in Toronto! We're so jealous but definitely happy to hear of all their amazing travels! :)

I'm a Play-Doh Pro!
Philip loves playing with Play-Doh and he always comes up with the most interesting creations. Today he decided to make a worm and a fully-loaded pizza. Too cute, I tell ya! :)

My First Trip to Centre Island
Philip and I went to Centre Island with Grandma and Aunt Lynn for a mid-week adventure. It was Philip's first time there, surprisingly, but he had a great time first checking out Ward's Island followed by a nice stroll to Centre Island. Of course we finished off our day with a fun afternoon spent at Centreville. Thanks for the fabulous idea, Lynn, and we should definitely plan more of these get-togethers in the future! :)

A New Look
Hey everyone! I've been looking to update this blog for awhile now so I am experimenting with this new look. I really wanted a superhero theme for Philip but it looked way too busy so I went with clovers to represent the "Clan O'Leary" instead. I know it's still quite busy but I like the green of it all. I also wanted a lot more horizontal space for pictures and larger slideshows so the blog wasn't so skinny in length (see older posts), which is what I was really aiming for. It's still in the experimental phase, but I like it better already. So, what do you think so far??? Suggestions are always welcome and appreciated! :)

Reptilia with Nicole
After Cora's, yet another trip to Reptilia was in order as Jouky wanted to take Nicole there before they flew back to DC tomorrow. Nicole was a bit shy but was still brave enough to touch a couple of the snakes! It turned out to be an incredible trip as a lot of the reptiles were being fed while we were there and we got to watch all of the feedings! The most fascinating had to be the boa constrictor eating a rat. Paul got full video footage of it slowly swallowing the rat whole as well as some other cool videos of the other reptiles being fed. Philip was so intrigued he followed an employee all around the facility to watch her feed the lizards and turtles veggies, cantaloupe and mealworms. I'm not sure who loves Reptilia more, Paul or Philip, but as you can tell from the numerous posts on this blog, Reptilia is a small but wonderful place for our family to visit. Please click on the slideshow below to see all of the videos and pics on Picasa to fully enjoy the feeding frenzy. We love our reptiles! :)
Brunch at Cora's
We had brunch with the Taylor-Hohertz family at Cora's. It was our first time there and, although the food was good (I had the eggs benedict below), it was quite pricey and the service was disappointing (Civic holiday - they must have been understaffed!). Afterwards, we headed over to our place where we gave them a little housewarming present and let the kids play for a bit. Thanks for the fun get-together and we look forward to seeing you guys again at your housewarming party if we can make it! :)
