It wasn't a very snowy winter this year, but the one day it did really snow we decided to head out and make a snowman. Philip loved playing in the snow and especially enjoyed shovelling the snow back onto the sidewalk... haha. It was our first and only snowman of the winter, and we appropriately named him "Frosty". Maybe we'll get more snow next year so we can make more snowmen, snowforts, and go tobogganning too! :)
Sam, Casey, Morgan and Siena came back to town for a nice visit with family and friends. When they were at our place, we decided to have a little belated birthday party for Morgan too. Happy 4th Birthday, Morgan, and we hope your family had another great visit here in Toronto!
In addition to the get-together on Friday, Paul and Philip headed over to my parents' on the weekend to celebrate the New Year festivities there. Philip, Winston, Brandon and even Vanny got decked out in their cute Chinese New Year outfits. On top of that, they celebrated Uncle Foon's birthday as well. Happy Birthday Uncle Foon, Happy Chinese New Year again, and Happy Valentine's Day while we're at it too. :)
We celebrated Chinese New Year a little early at our house so we could catch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. While it was somewhat disappointing (I expected more after Beijing's incredible opening ceremonies, but I realize that Canada doesn't have the manpower or the finances to even compare... oh well), it was still nice for the adults and kids to hang out. It also reminded me that we need a much bigger TV for such occasions... a 27" old Sony just doesn't cut it anymore... hehe. Thanks for the nice visit and Happy Chinese New Year everyone.
