We celebrated Arya's first birthday at the Bari residence! There were babies everywhere and both the kids and adults had a blast! The weather even cooperated to allow the kids to have a pool party... yay! Arya is definitely a water baby but it looks like Philip lost his touch because he only wanted to play by the pool, not in it! Oh well, we'll definitely have to work on that! Thanks for the fantastic party, Biba and Eban, and happy first birthday, Arya! :)

Ok, just when we thought we were all caked out from last weekend, we celebrated Grandma Sandra & Grandpa Joe's birthdays this weekend as well! Grandpa's birthday was earlier in June and Grandma's birthday was on Saturday, so we decided to celebrate both of them at the same time on Sunday. June is a very busy time with celebrations it seems, and our growing potbellies from all this cake-eating is living proof of it... hehe. I guess we'll just have to work it all off in the summer! (Ya right! Haha!) Happy Birthday, Grandma & Grandpa, with lots of love from your favourite grandson! *muah!* :)
We had a very busy Father's Day! The first stop was Grandma's house for lunch where we celebrated with Grandpa Joe. The second stop was my parents' place for dinner to celebrate with my dad and brother. It was also my mom's 62nd birthday so we celebrated her special day as well. Happy birthday, mom, and Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there! It turned out to be quite the weekend full of cakes! :)
We went to Andrea & Metin's house to celebrate Zekiya's first birthday with them! There, we got to meet all her little friends and enjoy some Spanish cuisine, including a yummy Spanish birthday cake! It was also fun catching up with some old friends that we hadn't seen in awhile. Happy first birthday, Zekiya, with hugs and kisses from Philip! :) To check out more pics of the party, please click here! :)
Philip is growing up so fast so we're starting to get him some big boy toys that are more suitable for his age. We've been hitting up a lot of garage sales in the neighbourhood (Etobicoke rocks for this!) and we've also received lots of cool gifts from mommy's friends at school. We purchased a neat art desk/easel with lots of crayons, bought some cool learning toys and a Leap Frog shopping cart from some garage sales, and the secretary at school gave us a couple of sets of the Fisher Price Little People (Thanks again for being so generous, Aidan!). Philip absolutely loves all his toys and we love watching him play with them too. Yes, he's a bit spoiled in the toy department, but his mommy wouldn't have it any other way... hehe. Enjoy all your new stuff, little buddy! :)
We had another visitor from London, England and this time it was Paul's good friend, Muhammad! He came to visit for a week and bought Philip a really cool flying toy. He also got to spend lots of time with daddy and catch up on their movie-watching. Thank you Uncle Muhammad for the great gift and we hope you can visit with your wife, Ayesha, the next time around! :)
